[ STRINGS
INTERVIEW - INDIA PRESS ]
THEY ARE: A pakistani band whose hits like "Sar Kiyae Yeh Pahar",
"Duur" and "Hai Koi Hum Jaisa" created quite a sensation among the
younger set.
THEIR NUMBERS: "Hai Koi Hum Jaisa" was chosen as Pakistan's official
song for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2003. While "Duur" stayed on
India's top fice for a good half year.
FIND THEM IN: 'Locker Room' and we promise you'll discover a whole new
un-r9000ockstar like side to them
BILAL: Men change when they turn husbands. Women don't change after
marriage. They want the same amount of time and attention they got as
girlfriends. It's us- we get busy with the rest of our life.
FAISAL: It's important for a wife to continue to be a girlfriend. Men
need that passion and spark of romance. Men cheat because wives forget
they have to be girlfriends too!
BILAL: Really, women should take the lead when it comes to decisions
on planning and investments and purchases. Men should take the lead in
very few areas- maybe just on kid-related things.
FAISAL: No, I don't think men should take charge of kids. Women are
far better skilled at that. Men should handle the finances.
BILAL: You know, it's not a man's fault that he's a momma's boy. It's
mothers who turn them into one. Men don't have much choice- they're
caught between pleasing mom and wife.
FAISAL: Before marriage your mother's a huge part of your life. But
once you're married your allegiance, to a great extent, has to shift
to your wife. Men just don't understand that.
FAISAL: For a man, in-laws are fabulous- they are well wishers. You're
always pampered, given gifts- treated royally. You're the "damaad".
BILAL: But in-laws can be annoying when wives keep running to their
place.
BILAL: Kids are heavenly. They make you a sensitive person.
FAISAL: They make you cautious. You suddenly realize that you don't
want them to learn your bad habits. Men improve a lot after they have
kids.
FAISAL AND BILAL: Women drivers are deadly. They should not be allowed
on the road.
BILAL: There's nothing wrong with women shopping. But they really
shouldn't ask men to tag along. And we don't mind them spending money,
but they should go and buy something. They can't decide-that's the
problem!
FAISAL: We think shopping's a good escape for women, Men have many
escapes- sports, tinkering with equipment or cars. Women don't have
too many. And if they really want you there, you should go.
BILAL: Most men actually don't want women to use make-up. Glowing skin
and nicely shampooed hair is a huge turn on- nothing beats that.
FAISAL: It's ok to apply make-up if they can carry it off. But women
should know when they're looking like clowns.
BILAL: Droning about domestic issues is something women really need to
stop. Why do women insist on telling you about how the driver didn't
show up or how the maid came 15minutes late?
FAISAL: Actually, I think men should hear that out. After all, she has
to complain to someone. But yeah, say it once and leave it. Repeated
complaints put men off.
BILAL: Relationship alert- when women go quiet- that's your cue that
you've done something wrong!
FAISAL: Women should come right out with what's bugging them. Men hate
asking all the time.
